The Philippines posted the third-highest humanitarian and disaster risk score among East and Southeast Asian countries in the mid-2026 INFORM Risk Index, with a score of 5.3 out of 10, behind Myanmar at 6.7 and Cambodia at 6.1. Globally, the Philippines ranked 45th out of 191 countries and was classified as medium risk. The index measures risk based on three dimensions: hazard and exposure, vulnerability, and lack of coping capacity. A higher score indicates greater risk.
