The Philippines ranked 21st out of 24 Asia-Pacific economies in the 2026 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), making it the region’s fourth-lowest performer. The country scored 27.87 out of 100, below the regional average of 36.84, and ranked 162nd out of 177 economies globally. Made by the Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy, the index assesses countries’ performance across environmental health, ecosystem vitality, and climate change.
