RICO HOEY registered his strongest finish of the 2026 PGA Tour so far, sharing 19th at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson ruled by Wyndham Clark on Sunday at TPC Craig Ranch in Texas.
The Filipino ace fired a closing three-under 68 after previous rounds of 67-66-68 to finish at 15-under 269 that enabled him to breach the Top 20 for the first time this season. Previously, Mr. Hoey’s highest for the current year was a tie for 24th at the WM Phoenix Open last February.
The Fil-Am ace banked a cool $100,596 (around P6.17 million) for his work in the $10.3-million event.
Meanwhile, Mr. Clark sizzled with a flawless 60 in the final round highlighted by nine birdies and an eagle to win his fourth PGA Tour title and first since his last triumph at the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Mr. Clark assembled a 30-under 254 to beat Korean Kim Si Woo (257 after a 65) by three strokes.
